About TV Luna Sport
TV Luna Sport serves as a vital platform for the global Italian community and offers a rich tapestry of programming that spans a wide range of interests, including FM radio, and shopping
Born in 1977 in Caserta as a television rib of the pre-existing Radio Luna Caserta, it originally broadcast exclusively in the Caserta area, then, over the years, also extended to the Neapolitan.
In 1980 he entered the TVA circuit, becoming its Campania relay; once the circuit was dissolved, Tele Luna resumed its programming, focusing it very much on the young audience.
In the new millennium, the broadcaster was acquired by the dentist and former editor of the Buongiorno Caserta newspaper, Pasquale Piccirillo, changing his name to the current name of Tv Luna and becoming the leading broadcaster of the founding Gruppo Lunaset.
Following the total transfer of Campania to the digital terrestrial transmission system, Tv Luna is authorized by the Ministry of Communications to transmit for the metropolitan city of Naples and the province of Caserta on the UHF 28 channel. The Lunaset group also obtains a second concession, the result of the conversion of the analog network of the TV channel Luna 2 and other small local broadcasters, whose analog concessions had been acquired shortly before the digital switchover.
The multiplex Lunaset 2 (Luna Sport) is therefore authorized by the Ministry of Communications to transmit to Naples, Caserta and Beneventoon the UHF 66 frequency (in the province of Avellino it transmits using the concession owned by Luna Sport); since December 2012 the Lunaset 2 multiplex has been broadcasting on the UHF 21 frequency and only for the metropolitan city of Naples.
Thanks to an agreement with the operator Telenuova, Tv Luna, and the teleshopping channel Tv Luna Shopping is also visible in the province of Salerno.
